1. Becton Dickinson, Labcorp Collaborate for Flow Cytometry-Based Companion Diagnostics
The collaboration includes creating a framework to develop, manufacture, market and commercialize flow cytometry-based CDx tests intended to match patients with treatments fro cancer and other diseases.
Bright Giant GmbH and Agilent Technologies announced their new product development collaboration aimed at enabling non-targeted metabolomics workflows with AI -based methods and empower scientists to make new, meaningful discoveries.
3. Abbott Partners with WeightWatchers to Improve Diabetes Management
Abbott Laboratories and WeightWatchers are teaming up to help people with diabetes better understand their illness and manage their weight. WeightWatchers will integrate its diabetes-tailored weight management program with Abbott’s portfolio of FreeStyle Libre products.
4. BD 'Accelerates' Rapid Testing for Antibiotic Resistance
BD and Accelerate Diagnostics are in league together against antimicrobial resistance. Through a worldwide commercial collaboration, BD will offer Accelerate's rapid testing solution for antibiotic resistance and susceptibility offering results in hours, versus one to two days as is the case with some traditional laboratory methods.
5. Indica Labs, iCAIRD to Develop Digital Pathology Algorithm for Colon Cancer
Digital pathology firm Indica Labs announced that it is partnering with the UK's Industrial Center of AI Research in Digital Diagnostics (iCAIRD) to jointly develop a digital pathology algorithm to detect colon cancer.
6. Dignio and AliveCor link up to provide remote ECG monitoring
The move aims to allow seamless transmission of electrocardiograms (ECG) recorded by patients in the community direct to clinicians. Dignio is already working with University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, which is running one of the first virtual wards to monitor and manage patients with Atrial Fibrillation, a project which has created virtual beds.
7. ResMed Acquires Leipzig-based mementor with Insomnia Digital Health Solution somnio
ResMed announced the acquisition of Leipzig-based company mementor. With this acquisition, ResMed strengthens its overall sleep portfolio in Germany with a digital solution for insomnia.
8. DxGen, Precision Diabetes Partner on Point-of-Care Analyzer
The Epithod AutoDx analyzer's test menu includes assays for hemoglobin A1C, C-reactive protein, and urinary albumin assays, with additional diabetes assays soon to come. The analyzer is suitable for physician offices, small laboratories, outpatient clinics, and hospitals.
9. Medicover, FYR Diagnostics Strike Dx Services Partnership
Swedish diagnostics firm Medicover has partnered with FYR Diagnostics to offer diagnostic development and testing services to pharmaceutical companies in North America, the companies said on Wednesday.
10. Innovative Health Diagnostics, AIMA Partner on At-Home Endometriosis Test
Innovative Health Diagnostics partnered with Ontario-based AIMA Laboratories to develop a microRNA-based at-home test for endometriosis.
